Tropical storm Dineo has been downgraded to a tropical depression as it continues to move over Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
"The tropical depression is currently moving in a north westerly direction towards the northern parts of Limpopo, heading to Zimbabwe," weather forecaster Phusoletso Mofokeng says.
Meanwhile, pictures and videos of the damage done by ex -Cyclone Dineo in Mozambique have been circulating on social media.
It's reported more than 130 000 people have been displaced in the Inhambane area where Dineo landed. The death toll is currently sitting at 7.
Back in South Africa, disaster management resources have been activated and emergency services on high alert.
As a precautionary measure the provincial dept of education in Limpopo has sent out an sms, telling parents in the Mopani district to keep their children at home.
Limpopo skies are grey with some rain but the Provincial Disaster Management Centre says there hasnt been any reports of flooding or destruction of property yet in the province.
